Clos-o-mat sponsors BDAA access guide
19th September 2016
Leading Cheshire based Clos-o-mat have stepped in to support the charity by kindly printing 500 copies of the new Accessible Fisheries: best practice guidance. The trustees were delighted to have been given this support, this generous donation will enable us to move forward to help fisheries improve access and facilities for disabled people. The new access guidance has taken three years to produce in partnership with Centre of accessible Environments London, we researched the current guidance of many bodies including the Building regulations, countryside guidance, Environment policies and angling along with many more agencies. It was agreed that angling as a sport needed a set of practical guidance to help clubs, owners and managers improve the physical environment`s to make them more welcoming for disabled people. We are so pleased that Clos-O-Mat saw what we were trying to achieve for the future of angling and saw fit to sponsor the guide, the company has not only supplied hygiene products for the past 30 years or more, but they support disabled people and organisations who they believe make a difference. Our sincere thanks goes to Clos-o-Mat and the Willan family for thei support in this venture.
