The Club is based in the village of Broughshane, Co. Antrim and controls a 7 mile stretch of the River Braid which flows through Broughshane and Ballymena to join the River Maine and hence to Lough Neagh. The river supports a large head of wild brown trout with runs of salmon from July or August and also Dollaghan; a migratory trout of the Lough Neagh system. Season is March 1st to October 31st. DAERA rod licence with proof of Club Membership or Day Permit required. The village stretch in Broughshane has convenient parking with good access via a public footpath along its length and some angling stands for disabled anglers which the Club would like to improve in the near future. Club Membership for disabled anglers is currently free of charge.
