The Loughs agency NI based in Londonderry invited us over to find out if we could help them to ensure they had completely covered and represented disabled people in their community. The first of many visits identified they did have a good relationship and made provision for their disabled anglers, what was missing was information and a broader knowledge of how a persons impairment impacted on an individual or group if the wrong design for access or facilities was not discussed with disabled people at the first development meetings.

We offered advice, training and first hand experiences to ensure the agency was able to understand the effect of poor design, outdated terminology, importance of being inclusive in angling which has been at the forefront since our initial visit.
